Asher’s House Co-op
"The House That Love Built"
Overview
Asher’s House Co-op is a nonprofit cooperative inspired by the enduring love for a special child and driven by a vision of inclusive community. More than a support system, it's a movement built on creativity, cooperation, and collective transformation.
Our launch event, The We>Me Celebration, kicks off a new era of service, sustainability, and soul-centered community-building.
Mission Statement
To restore power to the people through a cooperative model that supports families, uplifts artists, and creates spaces where all are welcome to thrive—mind, body, and soul.
Inspired By Asher
Named after founder Steve Calvert’s 15-year-old autistic son, Asher’s House Co-op is rooted in love and responsibility. It envisions a world where people with disabilities and their families are supported not just in care, but in community, creativity, and purpose.
Profitability Statement
Though nonprofit in structure, Asher’s House Co-op sustains itself through a hybrid economic model:
Sales of We>Me merchandise (T-shirts, hats, etc.)
Crowdfunding and sponsorships
Vendor booth rentals at community events
Commission-based sales for products in the Co-op Marketplace
Core Initiatives
Education Reform
Reviving classical learning with a focus on critical thinking and self-expression.
Media & Social Networks
Launching an explanation-based social media platform to combat misinformation and polarization.
Arts & Entertainment
Creating judgment-free spaces for artists and storytellers to share and grow.
Business Model
Promoting a sustainable, cooperative economic structure that prioritizes people over profit.
